Faculty & Staff Chapel: Spring 2025
1100 S 3rd St, Waco, TX 76706
This spring’s Faculty & Staff Chapel is being facilitated by the Wesley House of Studies at George W. Truett Theological Seminary and will provide a unique opportunity for Baylor faculty and staff (and students) to worship in the Wesleyan tradition.
Kenneth Levingston is the presiding bishop for the MidTexas Global Methodist Church Conference, which includes Waco, and he is a senior pastor in Houston. Bishop Levingston will deliver the chapel message, and individuals from the Wesley House and local churches will be a part of the program.
We are excited for this service at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 16, in Powell Chapel at Truett Seminary.
Faculty & Staff Chapel was launched in November 2022 as part of President Linda Livingstone’s campuswide Spiritual Wellbeing initiative. The services, conducted once per semester, bring a guest pastor and/or congregation to campus and are meant to complement both our personal spiritual growth and Baylor’s mission – where faith is central to who we are and how we prepare students for a life of leadership and service in the world.
As faculty and staff pursue their personal faith in ways that enrich their families and overall wellbeing, services like chapel and Lift Up Your Hearts are designed to support their growth. Lift Up Your Hearts is a time of prayer and worship with the Baylor family that occurs at the end of each semester and features members of the campus community.
