Spring Faculty & Staff Chapel

Faculty & Staff Chapel was launched in November 2022 as part of President Linda Livingstone’s campuswide Spiritual Wellbeing initiative. The services, conducted once per semester, bring a guest pastor and/or congregation to campus and are meant to complement both our personal spiritual growth and Baylor’s mission – where faith is central to who we are and how we prepare students for a life of leadership and service in the world.

This spring’s chapel will provide a unique opportunity for us to hear from Dr. Julio Guarneri, new executive director of the Baptist General Convention of Texas and former lead pastor of Calvary Baptist Church in McAllen. The BGCT has had a deep connection to Baylor for nearly two centuries, and we are excited to have Dr. Guarneri here at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 17, in Powell Chapel at Truett Seminary.

As faculty and staff pursue their personal faith in ways that enrich their families and overall wellbeing, services like chapel and Lift Up Your Hearts are designed to support their growth. Lift Up Your Hearts is a time of prayer and worship with the Baylor family that occurs at the end of each semester and features members of the campus community.
