WEATHER UPDATE: Christmas at Baylor has always been a magical time, and no one event on our campus symbolizes this better than our annual Christmas on 5th Street celebration. It is with immense sadness that we have to change our plans this year.
El Niño weather has impacted a number of our events this fall, and it is forcing us to rethink yet another. Due to the impending threat of storms, Christmas on 5th will not take place Thursday, November 30.
Though we are disappointed in this reality, we are not canceling, but moving as much of the event as possible to Monday, December 4, from 5 to 9 p.m.
A trail of lights begins on 5th Street and continues throughout campus. Horse-drawn carriages trot past activities like a snow zone, Christmas marketplace, and local food trucks. Outside the Bill Daniel Student Center, features a Christmas market with dozens of local vendors and a live nativity with Mary, Joseph, baby Jesus, live camels and donkeys. Inside the SUB are make & take activities for kids, lots of picture-perfect photo moments, and of course, Mr. and Mrs. Claus.
