DESCRIPTION:Denim Day, a national awareness campaign, encourages wearing denim on the last Wednesday of Sexual Assault Awareness Month to demonstrate support for survivors of sexual assault. Participants are encouraged to share photos on Instagram with #DenimDay and tagging @BU_Equity. Denim Day was established in 1999 in response to a judge’s ruling that a survivor could not have been assaulted since she was wearing tight jeans.
