"Embodied Books" Events with Dr. Darian Stahl
Dr. Darian Stahl’s new publication, Embodied Books, has a twofold purpose—to empower those with illness, disability, and caretaking roles to tell their own stories with artist books, and to educate future and present healthcare professionals using those books as primary resources for understanding patient experiences (embodiedbooks.com/about).
The University Libraries is working in collaboration with the Medical Humanities Department to bring Darian Stahl to campus on November 11th and November 12th, 2024, to expose our students and faculty to her complex, empathy-building work.
